Jakarta Wins Best Booth Content Award at Seoul International Travel Fair

The Jakarta Government won the Best Booth Content Award at the Seoul International Travel Fair (SITF) 2025.

This award was presented by Korean Travel Fair (KOTFA) Chairman and CEO to Central Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Sub-agency Head, Wiwik Satriani, during the Closing Ceremony at CO Exhibition Center, South Korea on Sunday (6/8).

Central Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Sub-agency is once again present at the largest international tourism exhibition in South Korea, the Seoul International Travel Fair 2025, which will be held from June 5 to 8, 2025, at Coex Hall C, Seoul, South Korea.

Central Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Sub-agency Head, Andhika Permata said his sub-agency was collaborating with the Indonesian Embassy in Seoul, Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association (PHRI), Jakarta Hotel Association (JHA), and Indonesian Recreational Park Business Association (PUTRI) to participate in promotional activities in South Korea by presenting the Enjoy Jakarta Pavilion.

The Enjoy Jakarta pavilion in Hall C Both C02 features decorations that synergize to welcome the Five Centuries of Jakarta. This pavilion showcases seven tourism industries including Fairmont Hotel, Gran Melia Hotel, Pullman Central Park Hotel, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah, Jakarta Aquarium, and PIK Tourism Board, to promote hotels, golf, and tourist destinations in Jakarta.

"The international tourist market from the Republic of Korea ranks 5th with 42,800 visits to Indonesia. To continue increasing the number of international tourist visits in 2025, especially from South Korea, Jakarta is once again participating in the SITF 2025 tourism fair," he expressed, in his written statement, Monday (6/9).

Overseas Tourism Marketing Subgroup Chair, Lucky Wulandari revealed SITF 2025 will be a golden opportunity to showcase the wealth of tourism in Jakarta, not only in terms of destinations but also the unique attractions it has. Taman Mini Indonesia Indah, Jakarta Aquarium, and PIK tourist area are examples of destinations with great potential to attract the interest of Korean tourists.

"This step is important to present Jakarta as an attractive and comprehensive thematic attraction destination on the international stage," she explained.

Jakarta Parekraf Agency's Marketing and Attraction Head, Sherly Yuliana explained, besides physical destinations, Jakarta will also present Abang None Jakarta as tourism ambassadors who will introduce the culture and hospitality of Jakarta. The beautiful JeKaTe souvenirs and the locally beloved character icons representing Jakarta's intellectual wealth will also be a unique attraction for visitors of all ages and backgrounds.

"This shows that Jakarta is not only selling a place, but also experiences and a strong identity," she added.

In this event, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was also signed between PHRI and Korea Halal Co., Ltd. This is expected to build cooperation and enhance halal tourism collaboration between the two countries.
